From exhausted and overweight to feeling confident, lighter and enjoying food again.
In six months, she has lost a stone. More importantly, she now knows exactly how she's going to keep it off.
When we started working together, her days as a busy GP looked like this: back-to-back appointments, surgeries that overran because she cared too much to cut people short, and energy running on empty. She was propped up by whatever food was nearest to hand. This wasn't about making bad choices. She was simply having to survive a demanding job with the tools she had available.
So instead of asking her to fight her own life, we worked together and designed around it – her schedule, her constraints, her energy patterns, her reality. The habits we built weren't generic rules requiring enforcement and willpower; they were shaped to fit around a job that doesn't leave room for much else.
The shift wasn't just the stone she lost. There was also a change in mindset. Weekends are now weekends. Holidays are holidays. On a break in Norfolk she could simply relax – sharing a pudding and a glass of red wine, stopping for ice cream, letting coffees run long, without guilt or self-berating creeping in. She knew exactly where she'd pick back up with her everyday habits once she got home. No longer lost, she has a clear structure to fall back on.
“I would definitely recommend coaching with Rebecca. She has a very personalised approach, and has helped me to develop sustainable habits to improve my general wellbeing and health, which fit with my life.”
